Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

Disappointing to see gov. newsom with his finger to the wind.

If America since Jan 2025 hasn’t broken your heart, you haven’t loved her enough.

How any woman could possibly vote for this smug smarmy piece of misogynistic crap is beyond understanding.

If you thought you’d already seen people saying the stupidest things possible on the internet, prepare yourselves.

When I was faster i was always behind.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

The snowflake in chief appeared visibly frustrated when questioned by a reporter about egg prices.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

The republican speaker is a slippery little devil.

So many bastards, so little time.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

Bad people in a position to do bad things will do bad things because they are bad people. End of story.

Imperialist aggressors must be defeated, or the whole world loses.

Republicans want to make it harder to vote and easier for them to cheat.

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

If a good thing happens for a bad reason, it’s still a good thing.

They love authoritarianism, but only when they get to be the authoritarians.

You cannot love your country only when you win.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

Quote tweet friends, screenshot enemies.

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Sorry for the dearth of posts this week-end. Spent all day Saturday at the library, and today I tackled a mountain of laundry and then prepped for the SuperBowl.

Quick Comments:

– U2 just did the best halftime show I remember.

– I am shocked- SHOCKED, by the halftime score.

– In the spirit of blogdom, I paid for Glenn Kinen’s banner. He should be ad free, soon, and I would recommend a visit. The folks at Protein Wisdom took care of mine, and I think it is high time I repay the favor.

Many, many profound thanks to the folks at the Libertarian Samizdata and to Damian Penny for the linkage. Those are two of the blogs that I check even when I have no time to be reading blogs, so this is a high honor indeed.

Sometime tomorrow I have some comments about the Ann Richards interview on Larry King, and blurb about why things ARE different in this last year, and some other stuff.

BTW- If you want another damn fine red wine (as good or better than Black Opal– depending on your tastes- FWIW, I had the Shiraz the other night and LOVED it), try Lindemans cabernet. I don’t know what the deal is, but these low budget Aussie reds have just been knocking my socks off lately, and I have not had one that I dislike.
