Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Second rate reporter says what?

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

The republican ‘Pastor’ of the House is an odious authoritarian little creep.

All hail the time of the bunny!

When I decide to be condescending, you won’t have to dream up a fantasy about it.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

These days, even the boring Republicans are nuts.

They want us to be overwhelmed and exhausted. Focus. Resist. Oppose.

I really should read my own blog.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

People are weird.

Something needs to be done about our bogus SCOTUS.

If you thought you’d already seen people saying the stupidest things possible on the internet, prepare yourselves.

“Can i answer the question? No you can not!”

How any woman could possibly vote for this smug smarmy piece of misogynistic crap is beyond understanding.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

Not loving this new fraud based economy.

Their shamelessness is their super power.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

American history and black history cannot be separated.

If you are still in the gop, you are either an extremist yourself, or in bed with those who are.

From today’s anonymous author at Tapped:

“Today, Paul Krugman proves why he really is the most important columnist in America.”

What? I thought that was Helen Thomas? Or Mark Morford?

“important columnist” is a contradiction in terms. Most people don’t care about opinion columns, which would seem to limit the amount of importance someone who writes a few paragraphs every few days for a newspaper can have.

David Broder is the dean of columnists (and I personally don’t like the guy, so there goes any claim of partisanship).

No columnist that is so overtly partisan will likely be taken seriously as “important”.

Krugman is Eleanor Clift with with an economic resume’.

Of course he’s the most important columnist in America. He never, under any circumstances, says anything a partisan liberal Democrat would disagree with.

Such naivete. It doesn’t matter whether “most people” care what major columnists say. Agenda setters, the people who have influence in setting policy, do. Paul Krugman is a columnist agenda setters read.

Obviously, Mac Diva, because everything Krugman writes comes true.

Oh.. what’s that? It doesn’t!? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
