Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Trump’s cabinet: like a magic 8 ball that only gives wrong answers.

Welcome to day five of every-bit-as-bad-as-you-thought-it-would-be.

How stupid are these people?

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

Let the trolls come, and then ignore them. that’s the worst thing you can do to a troll.

Just because you believe it, that does not make it true.

Balloon Juice, where there is always someone who will say you’re doing it wrong.

This must be what justice looks like, not vengeful, just peaceful exuberance.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

Republicans cannot even be trusted with their own money.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

She burned that motherfucker down, and I am so here for it. Thank you, Caroline Kennedy.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

Republican also-rans: four mules fighting over a turnip.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

This chaos was totally avoidable.

“Jesus paying for the sins of everyone is an insult to those who paid for their own sins.”

I really should read my own blog.

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Sucking the Life out of Everyone

Hillary Clinton released her book, Living History, and it is all anyone is talking about. Remember this Susan Estrich statement:

”Could somebody please tell these people to shut up?” Estrich implored in a column that, though little circulated by mainstream newspapers, received wide coverage by top radio talker Rush Limbaugh and Fox News Channel’s ”Hannity & Colmes.”

”The Clintons suck up every bit of the available air,” the one-time Dukakis campaign manager complained. ”Nothing is left for anyone else. They are big, too big. That’s the problem.”.

Many of you laughed and dismissed her. Quick- without thinking. What is the name of Sidney Blumenthal’s book?

Thought so.

Yet, the Clinton Wars is #25 on Amazon’s bestseller list. Guess those silly Americans are still reading it, eh? Most of us Democrats can handle reading two books at a time.

Blumenthal fell out of the NYT top 10 in the second week, prior to the release of Hillary’s book. #25 isn’t exactly a triumph when you got a lot of attention from talk show apperarances, etc. and when Ann Coulter is beating you with a book that isn’t even out yet, based solely from a mention on Hannity (Coulter currently 28th, was at 11th after Hannity mention; Blumenthal is down to 59th even after Daily Show appearance).

Blumenthal is reportedly off the list altogether.

Currently, The Clinton Wars is #84 on Amazon.com.

Ann Coulter’s UNRELEASED book has already surpassed it.
