John Cole over at Balloon-Juice kept it short and sweet when commenting on yesterday’s Maureen Dowd column. Here’s one from his comments section: “Actually, MoDo has taken out her own argument. If in fact Clarence Thomas is where he is…

Actually, MoDo has taken out her own argument. If in fact Clarence Thomas is where he is only because of affirmative action or some other racialist agenda, this is a condemnation of affirmative action. Affirmative action has failed by placing an utter incompetent in a position where he could destroy affirmative action. Deliciously ironic, IMO.

Yep, I’ve seen this before. “Thomas must be mentally ill to think the way he does.” White liberal racism, naked for the world to see.
Notice how she took a swipe at Ann Coulter and other blonde female Republican pundits? Sounds like MoDo has been called “ma’am” a few too many times by men in their late thirties, and that she’s a little bitter about it. . .

I found the most odious line to be, “…When he switched from a Democrat to a conservative as a young man, he knew that he would be a hotter commodity in politics…” How petty a comment.
