Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

Putting aside our relentless self-interest because the moral imperative is crystal clear.

A sufficient plurality of insane, greedy people can tank any democratic system ever devised, apparently.

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

I really should read my own blog.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

We’ll be taking my thoughts and prayers to the ballot box.

A democracy can’t function when people can’t distinguish facts from lies.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

A thin legal pretext to veneer over their personal religious and political desires

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

Proof that we need a blogger ethics panel.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

They’re not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

This fight is for everything.

A last alliance of elves and men. also pet photos.

Do not shrug your shoulders and accept the normalization of untruths.

“woke” is the new caravan.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

Democrat Over-Reach

by John Cole|  July 11, 200311:48 am| 9 Comments

This post is in: Democratic Stupidity

FacebookTweetEmail

If you thought the Democrat Over-Reach and indignation was pathetic regarding Bush’s speech on the aircraft carrier, or any of the other 500 times the Democrats ‘have finally shown some backbone and opposition’ (how many times will they have to jump on something before liberal bloggers will drop the mantra that the Democrats never stand up to Bush?- all they do is oppose), the you will really enjoy the flooding of the zone regarding the Niger comments from the left. From the past 24-48 hours, here are the posts from just a few liberal bloggers:

Oliver Willis: One Two Three Four Five Six Seven

CalPundit: One Two Three Four Five

Daily Kos: One Two Three Four Five

Flood the Zone, guys! Here is the DNC commercial claiming Bush lied. Don;t they understand that false accusations are going to get them nowhere? And while we are at it, the best (or should I say most prolific?) liar of the current crop of Democrat Presidential candidates, John Kerry, had this to say:

The more of this crap I see, the more anti-liberal I become.

I guess Kerry expects the President to report to people what’s already in the news. Guess Kerry thinks the Prez has nothing better to do.

On the one hand, a status update would be just the thing about now. On the other hand, the fact that no status update has been delivered is hardly a campaign issue, at this point. As Kerry will no doubt discover.

You should have included Pandagon in your list of bloggers. This Niger thing is about all he posts on anymore.

Keep yapping Dimodonks. The more they whine, blog and spew, the better things look for Dubya in ’04.

I almost tore an inguinal ring laughing when I read the Gillard article demanding that Chalabi testify, under penalty of perjury, to tell the truth. (Hmmmm… and what living FORMER chief executive is a confessed perjuror?)

Then in typical Demospeak the article maintains that ousting Saddam is a good thing and a terrible thing, but can’t seem to decide which – just that Bush is evil and to blame. (And an “inept” liar – as opposed to Slick Willy, one presumes.)

Lots of flash and noise and nothing of substance. If this is the caliber of intellectual discourse we face – sleep well knowing that we have at least 5 more years to recover from the Klinton Legacy of global turmoil.

Honestly, the entire thing is beneath Fisking.

Hmmm…John Kerry’s particularly sensitive about his secret membership in Yale’s exclusive and poweful SKULL AND BONES society for the scions of the Eastern Establishment. See the report at http://www.survivalistskills.com/kemp.htm

    Think that will hurt him?

Sorry, folks! The URL I posted doesn’t work.

For the sake of context, here’s the posting repeated, this time with a live
