Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

75% of people clapping liked the show!

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

Quote tweet friends, screenshot enemies.

If ‘weird’ was the finish line, they ran through the tape and kept running.

“When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

Every decision we make has lots of baggage with it, known or unknown.

“woke” is the new caravan.

How any woman could possibly vote for this smug smarmy piece of misogynistic crap is beyond understanding.

Bad people in a position to do bad things will do bad things because they are bad people. End of story.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

The “burn-it-down” people are good with that until they become part of the kindling.

I have other things to bitch about but those will have to wait.

Take hopelessness and turn it into resilience.

Jack be nimble, jack be quick, hurry up and indict this prick.

You cannot shame the shameless.

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

Disagreements are healthy; personal attacks are not.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

Not rolling over. fuck you, make me.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

All I’ve found thus far is a Guardian letter to the editor from a UK Green Party member:

    The search continues :-)

    Here’s a rimshot: http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/environment/story.jsp?story=430750

The piece is unexpectedly balanced and there are no mentions of Kyoto or Bush, but it does use the phrase “a deluge of biblical proportions” which I think should get bonus points.

Heh… I’ve been working outside with my laptop today. It’s been in the 90’s in the shade since about 10am. I think the Brits would melt. ;)

FYI, to anybody interested: I’ve got two Sony Vaio laptops, and they perform very well without overheating in Texas weather. If you’re looking to buy a laptop, check ’em out.

“Is the a prize for the first poo-poo article?”

“Poo-poo” is right, since signing onto Kyoto would have sent our economy down the crapper.

You know… every time I see one of these meatheads talking about Global Warming and how humans are the scourge of the earth, I can only think: We’ve been warming since the last ICE AGE. Sure, humans may have a little to do with it, but there sure weren’t factories belching out smoke when the glaciers were retreating from Iowa the last time.
