It appears that a Willie Brown, Jr. is running. Is that Willie Brown’s son (you know which Willie Brown I mean- clearly, every Willie Brown, Jr. is the son of some Willie Brown).

You misread the list. Willie Brown Jr has taken out papers for the 3rd State Senate District. Several offices are in the one table.
This list is not complete. The deadline is the 9th, I believe, and not all of the people listed will necessarily file.

The governor part of things is a “recall election.” There’s only about 90 names with “governor” next to them. I don’t know whether being on that list mean they already paid the $3500 or not, but I’d doubt it.

The one name definitely on the list for Governor is Gary Coleman of small angry black child actor fame. One wonders if his campaign slogan will be “Whatchu Talkin’ Bout, Davis?” I’d vote for him.
