Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

Prediction: the gop will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

Innocent people do not delay justice.

DeSantis transforming Florida into 1930s Germany with gators and theme parks.

When you’re a Republican, they let you do it.

The fundamental promise of conservatism all over the world is a return to an idealized past that never existed.

Bark louder, little dog.

Let me file that under fuck it.

Books are my comfort food!

Bad people in a position to do bad things will do bad things because they are bad people. End of story.

The willow is too close to the house.

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

White supremacy is terrorism.

“Just close your eyes and kiss the girl and go where the tilt-a-whirl takes you.” ~OzarkHillbilly

Good lord, these people are nuts.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

I have other things to bitch about but those will have to wait.

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

SCOTUS: It’s not “bribery” unless it comes from the Bribery region of France. Otherwise, it’s merely “sparkling malfeasance”.

I’m more christian than these people and i’m an atheist.

So many bastards, so little time.

A democracy can’t function when people can’t distinguish facts from lies.

Cameras in the Courtroom

Anyone who has ever wondered why some people are agaist cameras in the courtroom should be on the look-out for a replay of the California Recall case on C-Span tonight or this week. I caught it live this afternoon, and the incessant mugging of Judge Alex Kozinski (A Reagan appointee) during the latter portion of the testimony. I missed the first part, so I am sure there were others hamming it up, but I just wanted to smack Kozinski before the hearing was over.

Uh, it wasn’t testimony. It was argument. And whether he “mugged” or not, I can’t say. But I can say that he’s one of the most intelligent justices on the Ninth Circuit.

I don’t know if he is intelligent or not, but he was behaving like an ass.

All of the players — lawyers and judges were all too aware of the cameras and played it up big time.

Kozinski’s always like that – it has nothing to do with the cameras.

    Pejman’s take, he’s a Koszinski fan too.

Robin- I didn’t say I disagreed with him or he should be thrown off the court- I said it appeared as if he was mugging for the cameras- he made eye contact with them numerous times, and I found that unseemly. I understand he is a good, honest men- but I didn’t like the way he appeared- undiginified.
