Rush Limbaugh is deaf?
Mason
His his hearing degraded over the course of at least a year or two until he was deaf. He did his show that way for a little while, with the help of computers and an amazing will, even though his voice was a little off (no better way to describe it).
He had some sort of device implanted about a year ago which returned some hearing ability… he talks about it on his show from time to time.

I’ve heard rummors that certain perscription drugs, used incorrectly, can cause hearing loss. That’s just what I’ve heard.
Andrew Lazarus
A liberal friend of mine has gone deaf in one ear from something called Menieres Syndrome, which she says is the same problem Limbaugh has. She added that she’d be willing to go deaf in the other ear if it would get Limbaugh off the airwaves.
Judging from his sports commentary, Limbaugh is taking something that distorts judgment, not hearing.
HH
He’s resigned from ESPN and what he ought to do is work any problems he has out and return to the airwaves after that. If the allegations are true, I feel pity for him.

I’ll wait till it’s someone other than the National Enquirer breaking this one.
Though it will be entertaining, if it’s true. I’ll just adore watching the right wing defending a drug addict…
AnswertheQuestion
Yeah, Kathy, it’ll be as much fun as watching the left wing defend a law-breaking sex addict.
Moe Lane
I wouldn’t call Ted Kennedy a sex addict, myself.

Wonder if Rush’ll say “the bitch set me up”?
Kathy K
It’s always fun to watch people who supposedly believe something is eeeevil defending one on ‘their side’ when he/she does that something. No matter which side they are on.
AnswertheQuestion
“…when he/she does that something.”
Yep, since it’s in the Enquirer we’re all SURE he’s “done that something.” I might wait to see some more “facts” from a slightly more reputable source.

Andrew, are you serious? You really know woman who claims she would forsake her sense of hearing just to remove from the airwaves a radio commentator she finds distasteful?
David Perron
I’d much rather change the channel. Or just not tune in in the first place. In fact, I do that with Rush everytime he’s on. I think I’ve heard a total of five minutes of Limbaugh in my life, and paid attention to much less.
