Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

If you are still in the GOP, you are an extremist.

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

I know this must be bad for Joe Biden, I just don’t know how.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Russian mouthpiece, go fuck yourself.

Why did Dr. Oz lose? well, according to the exit polls, it’s because Fetterman won.

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

Fuck the extremist election deniers. What’s money for if not for keeping them out of office?

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

We’ve had enough carrots to last a lifetime. break out the sticks.

I’m pretty sure there’s only one Jack Smith.

Not so fun when the rabbit gets the gun, is it?

Bark louder, little dog.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

Putin must be throwing ketchup at the walls.

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

Not all heroes wear capes.

The willow is too close to the house.

A Senator Walker would be an insult to the state and the nation.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

The New ‘Bush Administration Embarassment’

Call me clueless, but I am not sure how bogus letters attributed to soldiers in Iraq is somehow an administration embarassment, as some on the left are trying to spin it.

If anyone should be embarassed, it is the media, because even though many of the soldiers deny writing the letters, they all claim the agree with he sentiments. News, fair and balanced, as long as it bashes Bush.

As he rode through the garbage-strewn outskirts of Tikrit in the passenger seat of a humvee, Sgt. Derek White of the 299 Engineer Battalion held his M249 machine gun at the ready. A boy squatting by a roadside soda stand waved tentatively. Then, as the humvee sped by, the boy lifted his chin, squinted and spat in the direction of the passing vehicle.[snip] The Iraqis “seem to have gotten pretty aggravated with us being around,” said Private T.J. Knight, the driver of White’s humvee. “I asked my interpreter if the Iraqi people are mad at us. He said that 90 percent of Iraqis hate us, and the other 10 percent have left Iraq.”

I’m glad they found soldiers happier than these.

Work long and hard and think who is from Tikrit. I know you have it in you. Then go contribute to the Balloon Juice Laptop Fund!

I should care about the fact that our fighting men and womens’ names and signatures are being used and forged to generate some cheap Astroturf, but my outrage meter is just burned out. Call me back when either Bush takes full responsibility for the Plame leak and fires half of his staff or we get a perp walk out of 1600 Pennsylvania.

Kimmitt- Did you just do a vulcan mind meld on me? What in sam hell does falsely accusing the Bush administration of astroturf have to do with Valerie Plame?

Or was this just another Tourette’s like left wing stream of consciousness- word salad that really means “I hate Bush!”
