Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Everything is totally normal and fine!!!

Not rolling over. fuck you, make me.

Republicans: slavery is when you own me. freedom is when I own you.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

Humiliatingly small and eclipsed by the derision of millions.

“Can i answer the question? No you can not!”

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

“When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

We’ve had enough carrots to last a lifetime. break out the sticks.

They don’t have outfits that big. nor codpieces that small.

T R E 4 5 O N

Reality always lies in wait for … Democrats.

President Musk and Trump are both poorly raised, coddled 8 year old boys.

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

I’m more christian than these people and i’m an atheist.

Today in our ongoing national embarrassment…

The republican caucus is covering themselves with something, and it is not glory.

Fight for a just cause, love your fellow man, live a good life.

“Alexa, change the president.”

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

In my day, never was longer.

Republicans do not trust women.

The real work of an opposition party is to oppose.

Trump should be leading, not lying.

Also while I was ill, I see the former Vice-Robot made a speech to our favorite group of activists, MoveOn.Org. With the recent influx of five million in cash from convicted insider trader (really- it is only bad when Republicans do it) and Jew hating Jew George Soros (“Jews run the world, and now to prove it I am going to shower everyone who is against Bush with money so my choice for President wins!”), perhaps this ‘grassroots’ movement should think of a name change to ‘MovingOnUp.Org.’

At any rate, Gore’s speech reminded me of the last time I saw a sad man in a clown suit shuffling across stage in a display of impotent irrelevance:

If someone stood up in a crowd,

and raised his voice up way out loud,

and waved his arm and shook his leg,

You’d notice him.

“For my part, I

I, like you, am totally fed up with the vast majority of politicians. It is evident that their sole reason for existence is to perpetuate their position in office. Winning is the ONLY morality and their ONLY principle. Not too many years ago, most of these clowns would have been literally ridden out of town on a rail…covered with tar and feathers.
Keep up the great work. The web is becoming the last outpost of patriots.

    Al Gore: the musical

In one of the most creative posts I’ve seen in awhile, John Cole skewers Al Gore’s speech to Move On (their motto: “We make ‘Bushitler’ rhetoric mainstream!”). I don’t want to give too much away, but you’ll appreciate John’s riff…

    Frozen, Flustered, And Lame

Given that Al Gore’s global warming speech got a frosty reception from Mother Nature, it’s all the more fitting that Mr. Cellophane himself seems stuck in rhetorical deep freeze: Gore, in a speech before a full house at the Beacon…
