Well, at least you won’t have to kill yourself over the next six weeks. Don’t fret, the Bengals were due to be ascendent at some point.

Oh, my God … my head is swimming. Someone put the word “ascendant” in relation to the Bengals!
IS THIS THE APOCALYPSE???
[sigh]
I guess I’ll have to focus on the local team now. Oh, wait, the Vikes just lost their fourth straight? Never mind.

I think this is a good thing in the long run. The defense is woesome, and the offense has no running game so Maddox is trying too hard too often. The opposing defense has it easy since they don’t have to worry about the run, can sit back and give Maddox trouble.
I feel the Cowher era has to come to an end after this season. He has done all he can with this team and needs to move on, just as the Steelers do.
Although I will always rejoice at a win, I feel ok with the loss and all the future losses we will have this season. It will help put the little shove needed to get Cowher out the door and give us a higher draft pick to improve the DB situation and perhaps get us our first franchise QB(Hansen, Manning)since Bradshaw.

Re: Cameron’s comment that the Steelers have no running game
Is there any truth to the rumors that the steelers are gonna try to work something out in the off-season to get Larry Johnson from KC?
Even though there were concerns about Priest Holmes health, I thought it was stupid for KC to draft him in the first place, but it’s hard to argue with what KC has done, obviously.
As a Penn State alum, just let me say if the Steelers do get him, watch out for the dreaded Penn State first round running back jinx. Blair Thomas, DJ Dozier, KiJana Carter, Curtis Enis.

greg,
The only FA search I have heard so far is going after Drew Henson(Hanson?). He is done with baseball and wants to play for the Steelers. Houston owns the rights to him, so they have to go thru them.
Haven’t heard the LJ rumor yet. But it’s possible. I know a lot of fans wanted to draft him in the first place so it wouldn’t suprise me.
