Anyone who watches the Democratic Presidential debates is aware that there is genuine difference within the Left on this issue between the “we broke it; we bought it” crowd and the “we shouldn’t have gone there and we should get the hell out while the getting’s good” crowd. This fact, I think, provides the context necessary to understand the behavior he describes.
