In front of the country and everyone else, Janet Reno again confirmed that Clarke’s book and testimony is full of it. Remember where he stated that the Millenium Plot was foiled because of his and the Clinton administration’s activity- you know- the activity that was denied by the agents responsible for the capture of Ressam. The alert and call to battle stations that there is no record of? Reno confirmed this again:
ROEMER: My time has just about run out. Just to clarify one point then. You think the decision made by the guard on the border to get Ressam coming into our country to bomb the Los Angeles International Airport then was somehow related to the frenetic…
RENO: No.
ROEMER: … active activity of the principals meeting?
RENO: No. I think she did that — I mean, I think that was just good police work, and it was a lucky break for us.
Is the public record of the 9/11 Commission sourcing enough, Oliver?

I would be surprised if he responded.
Or if he does, he will say that she meant something entirely different.
Rick
Maybe he’ll favor us with a sunburst if we holler “Ollie-ollie-oxen-free!”
Cordially…
Oliver
Isn’t that what Clarke said? “”The break came in an unlikely location,” Clarke wrote, describing Ressam’s arrest by customs agents during a “routine screening.””
John Cole
Now you are just being intentionally obtuse, although it is funny.
capt joe
Come on, Ollie, now you are lying. Clarke said that there was a high alert and that because of the high alert, they caught him. There was no alert and the customs agents that caught him though he was a drug smuggler. I laughed when I read this part in the transcript. They had just caught Ressam after a chase from the crossing. With Ressam in the back of a car, the agents wopened Ressam’s rental, and on examining the vial, shook it thinking it was some unknown drug. Ressam ducked because the agents just shuck a vial of nitro. The gods smiled that day.

Ruby Ridge.
Reno’s an expert at accepting the blame squarely on her shoulders and not taking flack for it because of her bravery in accepting that fault.
Rush Limbaugh must envy her balls.
HH
Reno accepted so much blame, she resigned as she rightly should… Oh wait she stayed til the end, because as we all know the Clintonoids were big on doing the right thing and stepping aside, especially when it all but guaranteed their party would hold on to the seat of power in 2000.
Jay
Oliver, don’t be so obtuse like John says. You’ve been bragging about that foiled millenium plot for weeks claiming it was the Clinton administration’s diligent efforts in the fight against terrorism.
The ‘break’ came as a result of the instincts of one agent, not because the administration was on some kind of ‘lookout’ or ‘high alert’ for terrorist activity.
Rick
IXLNXS,
To be fair, the event at Ruby Ridge occurred in 1992 (G.H.W. Bush, or the First Reich, as the moonbats would have it).
Now the more spectacular Waco event…
Cordially…
Kimmitt
Actually, most of us on the Left yearn for a President like Bush 41.
Dean
Sure, Kimmitt. And if I were a Republican running against a Democratic incumbent, I’d yearn for a President like Jimmeh Cottuh.
And that proves???
