Tacitus is right– every time I have my doubts about the Republican party and Bush, one of the ‘moderate’ Democrats pipes up and reminds me why I have a hard time embracing the Democratic party.

The ingenious thing is how they mix in good ideas with totally looney ideas. Securing the homeland sounds good. Energy independence? The moonbats would die of apoplexy, if we started using nuclear. I could go on. If Kos is the mouthpiece for Dems in the “blogworld”, then the GOP should have problem with elections.

“Secure the homeland.”
Right. Pull all of our troops stationed in foreign lands back here, set them up on our borders, lock down the international airports… no one with dark skin or a strange name can enter; shell any vessel approaching our shores……
That ought to do it. Oh, then eliminate trade with the rest of the planet; “Buy American!”

Um, John, considering that the first sentence of Kos’ post said he was fairly impressed with Arianna Huffington’s book, i guess i have to ask what would’ve made you keep reading after that?
Beth
Arianna Huffington is a political
opportunist. She used to be a
republican. What she wants is to
be known. I am surprised that any
democrat would take her seriously.
