I am sorry folks, but my mind has changed about the media.
I used to think that the real media bias was simply a factor of laziness and stupidity. Events of the past 4 years have changed my mind, and this past week has sealed the deal.
Honestly, ask yourself: “If there had been wholesale slaughter, mass confusion, explosions, massive voter irregularties, brutal murder of innocents, would the press have been this silent about the successful democratic elections in Afghanistan?”
If you answer is yes, quit reading me and go back to Atrios, Pandagon, Oliver, and the Daily Kos.

Has anybody even considered the possibility that, in our post-9/11 world and all, that this is some newfangled piece of security/tracking/life monitoring equipment that ALL future presidents will be required to wear when they’re in public and semi-public situations?

Its called, “If it bleeds it leads.” This isn’t liberal bias, this is the press looking for exciting bloodshed and gore, and not finding it.
There was a bit of coverage on CNN and in my local paper over the weekend that noted when the vote began and explored the erasible ink problem, but there was no reason to go into all Afghanistan all the time or anything.

Cynodon is right thats the synical adage of many of these liberal left-wing news media the if it bleeds it leads is very very true i mean if theres ever a gun related murder or shooting the liberal left-wing news media will be there with their reporters and cameras doing neat little emotional little peices on it its just more reasons you cant trust the liberal left-wing news media and in fact both kerry and edwards are both socialists

I used to give the MSM the benefit of the doubt, but after this year, never again. Especially ABC, CBS, and CNN have been openly campaigning for Kerry. When this is over we need to go after their advertisers.
