Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Disappointing to see gov. newsom with his finger to the wind.

The republican caucus is covering themselves with something, and it is not glory.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

You are either for trump or for democracy. Pick one.

Stamping your little feets and demanding that they see how important you are? Not working anymore.

We can’t confuse what’s necessary to win elections with the policies that we want to implement when we do.

People are weird.

If you’re gonna whine, it’s time to resign!

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

Putting aside our relentless self-interest because the moral imperative is crystal clear.

In after Baud. Damn.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

Giving up is unforgivable.

Republicans want to make it harder to vote and easier for them to cheat.

You are so fucked. Still, I wish you the best of luck.

The poor and middle-class pay taxes, the rich pay accountants, the wealthy pay politicians.

Not all heroes wear capes.

I’d like to think you all would remain faithful to me if i ever tried to have some of you killed.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

“In the future, this lab will be a museum. do not touch it.”

The fundamental promise of conservatism all over the world is a return to an idealized past that never existed.

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

The Giant Orange Man Baby is having a bad day.

Innocent people do not delay justice.

My father tells me that Chris Matthews just had his ass handed to him by Ben Stein. Anyone have details, a clip, or a transcript?

I don’t have a link or a transcript, but I saw the exchange, and I have to agree that Ben Stein cleaned Chris Matthews clock.

I’m going with the Redskins loss on this one, and the Red Sox curse being broken.

    Justin O:

That’s illogical. The Red Sox curse being broken would suggest that streaks *end*. That is more likely, it would seem, to support the idea that the Redskins’ loss loses its impact, rather than that the Redskins’ loss remains intact.

Or am I taking prognostications and nostrums too seriously?

If this is about the transcript posted above – Matthews knows that Stein is completely out of his league and so stayed on the fringes of an actual argument.

I wouldn’t call it clock cleaning as much as Matthews knowing his place. It

I agree with Dorian. After the crap Matthews pulled with Malkin and Miller he has possbily gottent he word that a lot of people would be perfectly happy to see him humiliated on live TV. So he’s walking lightly around those equipped to do it.
