One good thing about the election is that there were no real hijinks at the polls. One thing, however, that is simply an outrage, regardless of whic party you belong to, isthe fact that people had to wait in lineup to 8 and 9 hours. This is simply unacceptable, regardless of the cause, and it needs to be addressed.
Now, before a problem becomes an outright disaster.

Ahh….It’s just like the market, just because there was a temporary shortage of voting booths is nothing to get all riled up about. People can vote early or more booths can be put in place. But no responsible person puts twice as many booths than are needed normally. chill out.

Something I’ve felt for quite a while- throw out the “motor-voter” law.
Make it somewhat of an effort to register to vote, that way maybe–just maybe the people that DO want to vote will have a clue. That’s probably what was wrong in alot of places- clueless voters gumming up the works.

The delays were overwhelmingly in majority-Democratic areas. There won’t be any action on this, for the same reason that there won’t be a move to Oregon’s extremely successful models. Clearing up these problems is obviously not in the best interests of the Party which controls the Executive and both Houses of Congress.
