The fatr treasonous bastard, AKA Michael Moore, is back, and has some reasons for lefties to find solace in another resounding electoral defeat. His list includes:
4. In spite of Bush’s win, the majority of Americans still think the country is headed in the wrong direction (56%), think the war wasn’t worth fighting (51%), and don

Wisdom from the Fat Bastard
Now there is an oxymoronic title… Fat Bastard, aka Michael Moore, and “wisdom” uttered in the same breath. While seeing Mr. Daschle defeated in South Dakota was very pleasing, seeing Jabba the Slut rationalizing the verdict of the American people is pretty nice!

Captain Ed over at Captain’s Quarters posted it yesterday with an interesting twist; point-by-point rebuttal.

Jeff Jarvis, an old fashioned liberal Democrat, blames the Fat Bastard for his party’s defeat last week….and he’s quite serious. Here’s the Link:

Moore on white folks: 8. 88% of Bush’s support came from white voters. In 50 years, America will no longer have a white majority. Hey, 50 years isn’t such a long time! If you’re ten years old and reading this, your golden years will be truly golden and you will be well cared for in your old age.
Not all Dems think the same way, but most of their left wing does. To have any chance, they really need to purge these people from the party.
rkb
It’s possible people with concerns about moral values do indeed feel the country is going in the wrong direction and therefore voted for Bush.

That’s fine, because in 50 years, the African-Americans will probably have completed their slow migration from the Democrats Plantation…
Kimmitt
The African American community won’t migrate en masse until y’all do a lot of racist purging. The reason the Democrats get away with serving the African American community so poorly is that they really don’t have an alternative.
Or, at least, that’s what 90% +/- think in any given election. They could all be wrong.

The Dems reach out to people who are the spiritual successors to El plan de San Diego. I have no idea why anyone who doesn’t agree with similar views should support the Dems until they’re able to purge the racists from their party.

As Michael Moore said, it’s the 18-29 year olds who are gonna change this country, and boy , are they pissed!

It would seem Kimmit, that the Republican Party can win elections and widen their grip on power without needing the African-American community vote. If the question is ‘who needs ’em?’ the answer would be–the Democratic Party. It would appear it is the African-American community that has self-segregated onto the Democratic Party plantation and thus has turned itself into a marginal force in American political destiny. But I can see their point, at least with their mononlithic vote, blacks wield a great deal of power within the Democratic Party itself (more than likely for the benefit of a few powerful black leaders and/or race pimps) but by crowding into an increasing marginal party they are conceding influence to a more dynamic party in the Republicans, who btw received 45% of the hispanic vote and hispanics comprise the largest minority in the US today. So the 11% of black Americans who voted Republican wielded far more influcence than the 89% of blacks who voted Democratic. Go figure, heh.
What I am saying is black Americans may want to rethink their position on victimization politics, to truthfully see who benefits from their bedrock loyalty, begin to break away, and try for the American dream. It will, however, require them to leave the Democratic plantation. Something that race baiters like Kimmitt are loathe to happen.

“I keep notincing this wrong track number, and Bush and Republicans keep increasing their majority everyelection. Is it possible that people think the country is on the wrong track, but the conventional wisdom is wrong- they don’t blame George Bush for the country being on the wrong track, but believe he is what isneeded to put it on the right track.
“Just curious. Have at it, statisticians.”
I’m not a professional statistician, just a dabbler. But I GUARANTEE that the continuum of people who answer “wrong track” includes people who think President Bush is not conservative enough, yet know that he’ll be more conservative than Senator Kerry. Right track/wrong track isn’t specific enough to draw conclusions from.
The same is true when pollsters ask about the war in Iraq. Among those who answer that it’s going badly are a large number who want to see it prosecuted more aggressively, not abandoned. Yet that’s not how the answers are reported.

Apparently the 18-29 year old didn’t get out enough. According to exit polls every other age group went for Bush.
AGE – %Tot Bush – Kerry
18-29 (17%) 45% n/a 54%
30-44 (29%) 53% +4 46%
45-59 (30%) 51% +2 48%
60& + (24%) 54% +7 46%

The 18-29 year old are fed up with the country……they are the ones who will be leading in years to come….
Guess we all won’t have to live on a this southern run plantation after all, George W Bush’s plantation.

The problem with ‘the wrong track’ question is that it captures both extremes of an issue. For instance people who think we need to use more unilateral force and those who think we ought to use only multilateral force might both believe that the country is taking the wrong track.
SDN
Problem for you, Justin, is that 18-29 year olds grow up, start having kids, and realize that their parents were just a little smarter than they thought, as the real world takes over. Only in wackademia (or Hollywood) can one remain a 20-something war protestor (at least mentally) forever.

Sure, but that only underlines how utterly wed to the Dems the African-Americans are. The Repubs can and do win without them, so they have even less reason to pursue policies which benefit them.
Ken Hahn
The reason that the wrong track numbers are so high is that they include people like me who think Bush is too liberal.

Until we purge the rascists, Kimmitt?
I guess we wil have to finally get rid of Byrd. Oh wait….
Kimmitt
I wonder what you lot will do once Senator Byrd finally dies of old age, I really do.
Slartibartfast
We’ll be making fun of the other party for allowing Byrd to die in office. It’s what you’d do; admit it.
