    Well, Oliver’s post seemed like petty sniping, and so did yours. I don’t see the big difference, except that Oliver was sniping at somebody newsworthy, while you were sniping at some blogger.

    These sorts of pissing matches are silly — I’m a grad student, so I don’t have a lot to give. When I have a salary again, I’ll resume my previously reasonably high level of generousity.

    The only parameter by which it would be valid to evaluate Bush’s personal donation (of money that is, assuming that time devoted to the situation doesn’t count) would be by comparison with the amount of money donated by the aptly named Tides Foundation.
