The End of The Road

Ifyou remember, the great hope of the Democrats in 2003 to demolish this administration was the Plame ‘scandal.’ Read this Washington Post editorial describing the scandal, which appears to have passed away calmly while sleeping.

Only a Republican could be this clear eyed. I swells my breast that these two loyal Republicans have finally come forward and resovled this troubling issue. The Bush Administration official who outed Plame can now rest easy and tell his side of the story. Who is he, anyway?

Well, you’re right that it didn’t quite take down the administration like we planned. But the op-ed just says what’s been said before: the leak wasn’t criminal. Which may be true, but that doesn’t explain the on-going investigation.

Um, hyphen addiction. Ongoing for on-going.

Firstly, why is ‘scandal’ in ‘inverted commas’? I take it you’re okey-dokey with undercover agents being exposed? Did you know that this might have killed people as a result, besides rendering one fully trained operative useless? (He could have made his petty allegation without naming Plame.) And that’s in return for an unprovable allegation of nepotism. What a deal!

(Neopotism? Gosh No! Somebody tell president Bush! No, the other president Bush.)

Secondly, ‘careless spilling of the beans about an undercover identity’? No, sorry. Explain how one could ‘accidentally’ expose an undercover agent. Even if the source ‘accidentally’ let her name slip, Novak didn’t ‘accidentally;’ publish it.

Lastly, why would anybody criticise his qualifications, when he got it right? He came back with the correct answer, remember? Hell, I’ve always known there were no WMD in Iraq, and I didn’t need any qualifications for that. I just know bullshit when I hear it.

Dave, there are several thousands of Iraqi Kurds who would just LOVE to educate you on how wrong you are. Of course, you might not survive the process, but….

Dave, your frankly idiotic comments mark you as one of the latest new strain of Democrats: the “retrospective genius.” You always know what shouldn’t have been done just a couple months after it happens. It’s like being psychic in reverse, only with more whining!

You knew there were no WMD in Iraq all along? Then why didn’t you tell Kerry, Clinton, Kennedy, and all the Democrats who said they knew there WERE WMD there? Don’t just leave them out to dry!
