Patriots win, 41-27. This was the worst loss for me- ever. Cowher is now 1-4 in AFC Championship games.
That really says it all.

[…] I am glad to see Broncs diehard Jeff Goldstein is ok. I was on the other end last year and miserable for a good while. […]

You knew this was coming. You should’ve lost last week, this week was just gravy- and the Pats are a machine.
I’m glad this will end the Rothelisberger overhype. Eli Manning- raw as is was- could’ve won 6 or 7 games behind that hyper-talented Steelers core on offense and defense.
Sorry. There can be only one, and if my team can’t win, then neither should yours nyah nyah :)

Hard luck. I was looking foward to an I-76 Supe.
After watching the game I have a built a very healthy dislike for the Pats (Team Smug.) Classless move by Branch on his last TD.

I thought somehow the defense and the veterans could get Ben through this, but clearly this is why rookies don’t win Championships. It is hard to take after having only lost one game all season, but a rookie, is a rookie, is a rookie. Even Big Ben.
This one will hurt for a while . . .

Because of course, UncleHorns, no member of this Steelers squad ever, at any time, all season long, gave a little dig to beaten coverage apres-score. And I suppose I hallucinated at least one of the Terrible Towels coming flying down on Corey Dillon when he found the endzone.
Losing stings, but spare me the sanctimony.

Stupid penalties. Two of them, in particular, killed the Steelers.

Don’t forget 3 INT’s either.
As a Browns fan I’m glad to see the Squealers lose anytime. But to Belli-jerk?!? That hurts.

Fuckin’ Patriots. Sorry, but I am a Miami fan. I HATE them.
I gotta go see if my Steeler fan brother committed suicide.

I’ve been surrounded by Steeler fans who thought it was a foregone conclusions that they were going to win the Super Bowl this year.
When I said, about a month ago: “I wouldn’t write off the Patriots in the play-offs,” they looked at me as if I was speaking Swahili: “But we beat them in the regular season. We broke their win streak.”
It is nice to see Steeler fans brought down to Earth a little bit, especially after hearing them malign my beloved Browns over the whole season.
And yes, I know the Browns suck. I predicted they would at the beginning of the season.
Steve
Yea, I know it sucks, but don’t get carried away.
The Oilers got rid of Bum Phillips for the same reason, and haven’t been to the playoffs since.
Trust me, if you don’t get to the playoffs, you ain’t gonna win any of them.

I feel for the Steeler fans and those that idolized Big Ben, but what the hell: he’s a freekin’ rookie, and the NFL is not a place where rookies usually are overnight all-stars… especially when throwing against a seasoned defense like New England’s (even with their injuries).
I favored the Pats because of UofM’s Tom Brady being the Q-back and was against the Steelers because of Cowher… his lower jaw isn’t protruding as much today is it? And who was the defensive joker that said NE wouldn’t be able to run against them?
Better luck next year.

Beat you like a rented mule.

Speaking as a Bears fan, count your frickin’ blessings.

It’s called empathy, Sinbad. Sorry you misunderstood.
Sinbad
You say “empathy”, I say “sore-loser sanctimony”. To-MAY-to, to-MAH-to.
Declan
Serves you right!!
I still haven’t gotten over the Jets
