As far as the Schiavo affair goes, this is not the dumbest nor the most offensive sentiment expressed, but it sure does deserve a response:

How about offering links for some of these? In particular, how do you know that certain parts of her brain simply do not exist? That info could only come from a CAT scan. If a bunch of neurologists agree that that was insufficient, what is your grounds for saying otherwise?
And how do you know that there was no abuse?

That’s rich. You have repeatedly in the comments sections of other posts on this sight villified Michael Schiavo, accused him of abuse, accused him of profit motive, etc, and now you want me to provide you with links of this behavior.
My stomache hurts from laughing.
As far as abuse, it is not up to me to prove a negative. I can’t also disprove that Terry Schaivo was a pedophile- therefore she must have been!!!

I’d like to point out that it wouldn’t matter if someone did order a fMRI, John: none of the leeches involved would believe the results anyway. The posted CT scans are irrefutable: there’s nothing there, and an MRI will show the exact same thing.
But that doesn’t matter to the leeches: lots of face time on TV does.

If the woman is gone, who cares if the parents feed her or the husband emaciates her?
She won’t.
Frankly I think purosefully dessicating someone is something we don’t even do to criminals or animals. Here’s my idea… if she’s gonna be offed, let’s give a lethal injection or slit her wrists or throat. That’s a lot faster and less painful than the current plan.
