So I am playing the original Halo, having rcently purchased an X-Box, and I have to say:
I am not that impressed. This is not the definitive FPS- that was Unreal Tournament for PC, which I still think isthe greatest game ever made.

M-M-M-M-MONSTER KILL!
Unreal Tournament was an absolutely wonderful game. But don’t give up on Halo yet; once you get past some of the less exciting stretches in the middle-end game, you can enjoy the last level, which on a higher difficulty is one of FPS Gaming’s finest hours.

If you’re on xBox live, give halo 2 a shot. The matchmaking service, while occasionally frustrating, takes multiplayer to a whole new level.

If you haven’t already, try Halo 2. I’m not a player, but son and all of his military buddies live for it — even in Iraq!

I’ve only tried the PC demos of each. Perhaps if I can ever obtain the full programs, we can have a death match.

log on to multiplayer — find yourself a no shields, snipers, blood gulch map with at least 10 players.
if that doesn’t do it for, throw the game away. it’s not meant for you.

John, have you tried Half Life 2? After playing neary every FPS for PC, I do have to tell you, that even in Single player mode, that game is by far the best. I’m probadly a hour or so away from finishing it, and I have to say Nothing has come close.
**disclaimer: I have not played halo 2, but cmon, HL2 got a 11 at Maximum PC. A 11 out of 10!

It’s funny you bring up unreal tournament. Seriously console gamers have no clue compared to a really well done Computer game. Unreal Tournament seriously kicked, especially that sniper rifle. Boo Yeah!
