Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

American History and Black History Cannot Be Separated

The willow is too close to the house.

When someone says they “love freedom”, rest assured they don’t mean yours.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

Balloon Juice has never been a refuge for the linguistically delicate.

White supremacy is terrorism.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

Insiders who complain to politico: please report to the white house office of shut the fuck up.

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

A thin legal pretext to veneer over their personal religious and political desires

Fuck the extremist election deniers. What’s money for if not for keeping them out of office?

I didn’t have alien invasion on my 2023 BINGO card.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

Let there be snark.

Prediction: the GOP will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

It certainly will in the lives of the children he failed to defend when they were being raped by his priests.

There are interesting discussions to be had, over how to weigh this–the inexcusable failure to confront and root out this evil within his church–against the hope John Paul II offered to millions, and the effects of his papacy in making the world a better place. I have no easy answer. All the good he did doesn’t make that go away.

But you, disinherited, just want to rebut a eulogy. Mustn’t let a kind word for the man pass unchallenged, even on his death.

For myself (and I’m not Catholic), I’m grateful to have been aware of this very great, very brave man while he was alive.

“Rebut a eulogy” is the wrong phrase. I do not deny that good things can be said about him. But when someone puts on the mitre and says “hey, I’m the moral leader of a billion people,” he does not get to pass into history without his whole legacy.

Pope John Paul II, was a shining example to all of us of what we each should and can accomplish. Pope John Paul II was a man of Peace who did what was pleasing to God. God can not ask more of us then what Pope John Paul II accomplished. He will be best remembered as a dedicated champion of Peace; by teaching us to once again to learn to love our neighbors. Today the world is a better place because Pope John Paul II lived. Thank you for allowing me to shared my message and prayers for Pope John Paul II from Rome with our members. I know that God has Blessed Pope John Paul II with Eternal Life in Heaven.

John Paul II was excellent at teaching his neighbors; to learn “God wants us to Love our neighbors

Pope John Paul II was also an excellent poet and an accomplished playwright and philosopher and a media expert that was one of the first of us to use the internet to spread God’s word of Love throughout the World. by reaching out to his neighbors with Love.

Well of course the pope is a shining example of what we should and can accomplish, which is in fact kids what has been ignored in the world. Weird how Bush, Blair and the pope all have strong actionable opinion based on what they somehow psychotically believe in. A little bit carries a long way, and his ‘legacy’ is one that should be more closely examined. There is one thing I agreed with the pope on. Condoms sure do suck don’t they?
