Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

There are a lot more evil idiots than evil geniuses.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

Let us savor the impending downfall of lawless scoundrels who richly deserve the trouble barreling their way.

Fani Willis claps back at Trump chihuahua, Jim Jordan.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Can we lighten up on the doomsday scenarios?

This must be what justice looks like, not vengeful, just peaceful exuberance.

So many bastards, so little time.

Polls are now a reliable indicator of what corporate Republicans want us to think.

Prediction: the gop will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

Someone should tell Republicans that violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, or possibly the first.

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

Israel is using food as a weapon of war. Unforgivable.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

The worst democrat is better than the best republican.

Lots of blogad space available. Not sure why I can’t seem to sell very many of them- I see tons of ads on sites with far less traffic, and they are prominently displayed. Are my prices out of line?

** Update **

I lowered the price.

Your price must be out of line.

I’ve got three-four ads running now, and my blog has less traffic than yours. But I charge rock-bottom.

Depends on your prices, but also your audience. In my opinion, and only MY opinion, you tend to get the moderates of both sides on your site.

It’s hard for flaming rhetoric to sell merchandise to a bunch of moderates. I think we’re predisposed to ignore ads that we find too extreme. And the merchants don’t seem to want to create ads specifically targeted at moderate audiences. Bland comes to mind. :D

    Just my thoughts.
