Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Narcissists are always shocked to discover other people have agency.

Fear or fury? The choice is ours.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

Republicans want to make it harder to vote and easier for them to cheat.

So many bastards, so little time.

He wakes up lying, and he lies all day.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

There are a lot more evil idiots than evil geniuses.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

Their shamelessness is their super power.

I don’t recall signing up for living in a dystopian sci-fi novel.

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires Republicans to act in good faith.

We still have time to mess this up!

Site Counter

I need a new site counter- the bravenet one is simply too unreliable (it is down again right now). Plus, I think one of the problems with my advertising is that it always looks like no one ever visits, because my counter always reads near 100k, because the damn thing breaks and has to be reset every month. I am probably closer to 2-3 million hits over the lifetime of this website, but that is not reflected.

At any rate- what do you guys suggest? I wass not that fond of sitemeter.

*** Update ***

According to the host, 2.58 million hits.

Mr. Cole, while you are discussing site operations, would you consider adding an RSS feed to your site? (Unless I’m just missing one that is already there.)

    thanks.

Your rss feed only has the first line.
Send me an e-mail if you’d like for me to send you the code so you can have a feed for the entire post and another one for the comments.

I’ve never had any problems with Site Meter, so I’m WTF as to what your objection is. It didn’t give the same count as other measures I’ve used, but none has ever agreed with another. Whatever Site Meter’s flaws, it’s never, ever, ever, gone down, so what’s your problem with it? (If I were less lazy, and also unworried about yet further slowing down loading of my page, I’d add a couple or more other meters; but I’ve yet to feel a particular need, given the general functionality of Site Meter.)
