Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Let’s not be the monsters we hate.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

There are some who say that there are too many strawmen arguments on this blog.

Bark louder, little dog.

Republicans want to make it harder to vote and easier for them to cheat.

This country desperately needs a functioning Fourth Estate.

They were going to turn on one another at some point. It was inevitable.

Quote tweet friends, screenshot enemies.

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Narcissists are always shocked to discover other people have agency.

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

Republican speaker of the house Mike Johnson is the bland and smiling face of evil.

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

The revolution will be supervised.

It’s a new day. Light all those Biden polls of young people on fire and throw away the ashes.

Spilling the end game before they can coat it in frankl luntz-approved dogwhistles.

Despite his magical powers, I don’t think Trump is thinking this through, to be honest.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

The lights are all blinking red.

We’re not going back!

The republican speaker is a slippery little devil.

I am sitting here with C-Span on while working, and I have decided C-Span needs a music track when no one is speaking. I suppose I could just fire up MP3’s, but then I would get all into my work and ignore the Bolton debate when it starts back up.

Such is life.

Sometimes they do play classical music during votes in the House, etc. But it’s hit and miss.

I’m not sure. I kind of like the utter quietude of C-Span. Its a good thing to fall asleep to late at night when the only alterntives are loud infomercials.
