Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

Everybody saw this coming.

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

Giving in to doom is how we fail to fight for ourselves & one another.

No, this is not my cat, but he truly is something you have to see for yourself:

Sacramento’s “fat cat” finally has a new home.

The 33-pound cat was dropped off at the Sacramento County Animals Shelter a few weeks ago. Now, he has a new name and a new home.

Victoria Meyers adopted the cat, now named Romeo. He is about three times the size of an average cat, but Meyers says she’s partial to his size.

“(I’m) just partial to big cats, and they’re nice and keep you from being stressed. And I just love him. I just love him,” Meyers said.

Goodness. That is one helluva lot of cat. More pictures here.

This clip, “Meet Pinky,” is priceless as well.

Well well well, looky here, it’s John Cole getting linked from The Daily Kos and Calpundit, luadatory both times, I’ll be damned.

You’ve earned a smidgen of respect for your views on torture, Cole.

A smidgen. I haven’t and will never foregt all the rest these war felons have put us through and that worres you not at all.

Peace be with you. It will be hard to do, for the Republicans are going to own the consequences of the war–y’all got away with it for 2004, but it’s over, Cole, and the day of reckoning creeps ever closer. Kiss the Senate and the House goodbye in 2006.

    Take care, John.

Or maybe, paradox, Kevin linked it because I emailed it to him and said “You have got to check out this fat cat.”

I enjoy feeling the love from Republicans who think I am wobbly and Libs who think I am still satan. It makes my day.

Jeesh, I’m just glad I don’t have to feed it.

About this big John Cole love-fest, I’m almost, sort of starting to like Republicans again. Trent Lott telling Dobson to piss off gave me the same reaction that the Reaganites had to the Iran-Iraq war (it’s a pity they can’t bothlose) but in some other cases I’m almost feeling a weird sort of lack-of-animosity.

Then again, I’ve worked for winning Republican campaigns so you can’t really call me a hardcore partisan. What you can say is that this is the first time since the election of Pope Dubya the Second that I’ve felt anything positive towards anybody in that blasted party.
