The head of the Islamic Jihad military wing in the West Bank city of Jenin was killed Tuesday in a gunfight with Israeli troops, witnesses said.

The gunfight in the town of Qabatiya, which lasted several hours, killed two Palestinians and wounded five others, according to witnesses. One Israeli soldier was lightly injured, the army said.

One of those killed was Morwah Kamil, 25, the head of the Islamic Jihad military wing in Jenin, witnesses said. The army said it entered the village searching for a senior Palestinian fugitive.

So much for the cease-fire.

    What cease fire? The Palestinians have been violating it all along. Abbas cannot control the terrorist groups, and the people want Hamas in charge. They are their own worst enemy.

    Meh. Both sides have violated various cease-fires so many times that I no longer can keep track of whether something is a retaliation or an initiated action.

    Twenty-five. Is that the normal age for someone in the position he held? Or have the older one’s been attrited to the point they are forced to reach way down in the ranks?
