Batman looks pretty damn good. At any rate, NOTHING could be worse than Arnold as Mr. Freeze… Scarecrow is one of the most underrated villains around too…

I was *very* disappointed. I’ve already hashed it out elsewhere, but I will say my expectations were not very high and I still thought it bit.

I liked it quite a bit, much better than the “The Clone Wars” one. It was also much, much better than the other movie I saw this week. Madagascar. I thought Madagascar was incredibly tedious. (My 10 year old son liked it though)

The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes for Batman have been quite good so far.

I loved Revenge of the Sith, and I just got back from Batman. Go see it. It is easily the best comic movie ever, and I’m a fan of comic movies.
Nathan Lanier
Was it better than Daredevil!?

You joke, but I liked Elektra.
Nathan Lanier
Well yeah, that goes without saying.

Go! Go to this movie! It’s fantastic! It’s intelligent, respectful of not only Batman but of the other characters, and actually grounds the mythos in something recognizibly human.
I didn’t think anyone could be as good a Batman as Keaton (who was a revelation in the role) but Bale does one hell of a job. And the other characters are a treat to see in action. Freedman, Oldman, Neeson, Watanabe (who I wished had had a bigger role), Hauer (ditto) – oh, Nolan had some prime actors, and he used them really well. Murphy as Dr. Crane is a revelation, too: so pretty, and so creepily evil.
Go. You’ll like it.

Sin City is the best comic movie evrer. This is a close second. Entirely differing approaches, but still, outlining the essential qualities we like within.

Saw Batman lasr night.
Good movie(better than SW3). It is not campy.
It is not non-stop action.
Word to parents, the PG-13 is well earned.

The worst part of SW3 was the “NOOOOOOOO” part at the end.
It just seemed too “small” for the significance of the event. It fell flat.
After all that volcanic backdrop action, this seminal event happens in a little room that appears to be a storage closet.
It kinda had the feeling of a TV commercial set. As if Palpatine was telling Vader that the store was out of Mountain Dew or Double Stuffs.
“NOOOOOO!”

It is going to be the best Batman movie by far. Definitely see it.
BTW, that “NOOOOOOO!” scene in Star Wars was physically painful for me to watch. So bad.

I have to say, though, that a really kickass movie could have been made, of Obi-Wan’s adventures with Kit Fisto.
I was left wishing Ewan Macgregor had been allowed to inhabit the role in a better film.

I loved the 3rd Star Wars, but still… If Yoda was in a Prison relationship, his green ass would be the bitch.
Really in all of the Star Wars… he didn’t fight Darth Maul, He couldn’t beat Douku, and he couldn’t beat Darth Sidious, and he never fought Vader.
Hell, Sam Jackson beat the Sidious, it was only with an Illegal tag from Anakin that Sidious won that battle.
I hate saying it. But Yoda is useless.
Sure his jumping around looked cool, but you have to account for effectiveness, and Yoda was completely ineffective.
Thank god he went to that Swamp planet, if he had tried to right any wrongs, he would have been smashed like Frogger.
