The Reign of Darkness Is Almost Over by John Cole| June 19, 200510:37 am| 12 CommentsThis post is in: SportsFacebookTweetEmailLess than two months.
If you cannot acknowledge the superiority of basketball in general, and the NBA in specific, the terrorists have won.
I would rather shower in prison than watch basketball. I ocassionally got interested when Michael Jordan and Sir Chareles played, but basketball has really been dead to me since the days of Larry legend and Magic.
The NBA, that is. I like college basketball- well, I like watching WVU play basketball.
That’s funny. I was just thinking that what’s wonderful about the NBA right now is that it feels like 1979 – Magic and Larry are waiting in the wings, and just behind them are Michael, Barkley, ‘Nique, Isiah, etc. It’s a bit masked by this particular Finals. But I really can’t remember a time when there was this much great young talent that was proving out in the league.
Start watching the NBA, again, John. Getting on the bandwagon early always has cachet.
Heh, I came in here all gung ho getting ready to say “I can’t take another second of the frigging NBA”.
And I have to miss the final round of the US Open today because I’m taking my sister to a Dave Matthews Band concert as a wedding gift.
Ahh well, there’s always the Tour de France.
The only good thing about football, is the fact it comes along in the fall. Meaning Summer is almost over, Thank God.
PS Cowboys rule, Steelers drool.
WVU huh? What is Marshall, chopped liver?
NBA… Big yawn, nobody cares. Football of the college variety is the best this country has to offer, NFL next. Sorry for this John but, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!, GO TERPS!,
Cowboys rule? I thought they were 6-10.
Nice cheerleaders, though.
Super Bowl XL — Sunday, Feb. 5 — Ford Field, Detroit, Mich.
I notice they forgot to include the Patriots.
Pug – I do that just to get John’s panties in a bunch. The Cowboys suck in their current form, but there is always hope. Americans are an optimistic people.
I would rather shower in prison than watch basketball.
If we lived in MA, John, I would ask you to marry me. The NHL better get its shit together by next year I can’t sand another year of no hockey playoffs.
And I’m also with you on college basketball. The NCAA tourney is a fun watch, it is amazing to see players hit shots from outside the paint *gasp*. Shaq is the worst thing that ever happened to the NBA.
