Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

Dream On, Andy

Here is a damned pipe dream if I have ever seen one:

It seems to me that the most inspired pick for the Supreme Court would be a thoroughgoing economic and social libertarian. The freedom-loving part of the Republican coalition has already been alienated in so many ways by this administration. A libertarian SCOTUS pick would go some way to winning them back.

Don’t hold your breath.

I don’t think the Dems would be too thrilled about such a pick, either. Libertarian=repealing the New Deal, by some suggestions.

    Cordially…

I’ll bet Perfessor Instapundit would be glad to be appointed. Wonder what Andy would think about that?

I was really excited when Sullivan promised to stop blogging. Then he kept doing it :(

I vote Celia Cruz for SCOTUS. I don’t care if she’s dead.

The good thing about Andy is if you disagree with him today, you can visit his blog tommorow and he will be contradicting himself.

You could try this approach, which would add a checkbox that allows viewers to toggle all the links on your site to open in a new window. Yeah, it’s what Atrios uses, but I’ve seen it in enough other places/blogs that you probably wouldn’t look at all like a copycat. It looks like the code’s fairly simple and efficient and doesn’t require any editing, just insertion into whatever part of your template you’d like the checkbox to appear.

I’d like to see a libertarian on the Supreme Court, but it just isn’t going to happen any time soon.

Here’s a thought: someone without ideological bias who’d interpret the constitution as the founders intended.

Sorry, too radical (and wouldn’t allow gay marriage to bypass the will of the people, which is Sullivan’s one and only care on the matter).

    RW,
That’s retarded. If you look at the history of libertarians, they tend to not take a stand on social issues. The constitution created a republic for the sole purpose of not allowing direct democracy, i.e. “will of the people”. So, bigots like you can’t discriminate against gay people, or other minorities, because some diety is whispering in your ear.
