The comment thread on the flag burning amendment is interesting. I did not realize that we needed to organize citizen brigades, a la the Minutemen, to stop this national pandemic (what, about one per year or something?). Oh wait, they’ll have to organize AFTER the amendment is passed, because then the number of incidents will geometrically increase.

I mentioned to a friend that a flag burning amendment was a waste of time and he called me a liberal weinie who never served. This is a friend I grew up with who knows I’m not a liberal or a weinie but he couldn’t control himself when confronted with a differeing opinion. We’re all fucked.

Yes, there are times when libertarian conservatives and liberals can join for a common cause. Still, imho Reynolds is grossly overrated. Most of the time he is only linking to other’s content. If you didn’t know anything about him, would you think he’s a prof? Just compare his postings with Cole’s or DeLong’s. Instapundit is like MacBrain….
