I just moved to Dreamhost recently and I’ve been very happy with them. They’re cheaper than my previous host OneWebHosting, they have better customer service, and their accounts offer more bandwidth, disk space, and extras than any other hosting company I looked into.

I have no idea if they’re appropriate to your needs, or have an appropriate solution, but the most honorable, and only honorable, and most respectable, and only respectable, people I’ve ever met or known offering online services were the folks at Panix.com, whom were first introduced to me in 1995 as the longest standing, most sensible and trustworthy people offering online services, and for every moment in the various years afterwards I worked with them, so it was.
The only reason I fell away from them was that they charged money, and I wound up out of money. I never lost faith that they were dealing with me as fairly, honestly, cheaply, and best, as possible.
There are very few folks I could ever remotely say anything like this about, anywhere. Since you asked.

I’ve been with Livingdot.com since early April and have had absolutely no problems not of my own making. There appears to have been an upgrade to CPanel which screws up Movable Type; LivingDot has actually been agressive in countering the problem by downgrading certain modules on all of their servers until the new CPanel codes are addressed, and I haven’t had the problems over the weekend that others have had.
I’m not sure your problems are related, though.

Well, you know, John. I do web hosting. I host the QandO site, as a matter of fact. I’ve written the blog software that QandO uses, too.
I’m just saying.

I have penguin host. I think it’s penguinhost.net. It’s great. If you know a bit of UNIX it’s perfect, also they don’t chrge extra for the little things like email accounts or software since it’s UNIX based.
As an anti-recoomendation. I had trouble with GoDaddy.com. They were kind of unhelpful and ended up telling me over the phone that they didn’t support MT. Something I’m still doubtful about, Imean, you’re a host and you don’t support MT!

TextDrive. It’s where all the kool kids are (scroll down to “Applications” and see the developers who’ve chosen TextDrive … there’s a reason)
