Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

I’m starting to think Jesus may have made a mistake saving people with no questions asked.

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The republican speaker is a slippery little devil.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

Finding joy where we can, and muddling through where we can’t.

Find someone who loves you the way trump and maga love traitors.

Never give a known liar the benefit of the doubt.

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

We can’t confuse what’s necessary to win elections with the policies that we want to implement when we do.

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

I like political parties that aren’t owned by foreign adversaries.

We will not go quietly into the night; we will not vanish without a fight.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

No one could have predicted…

Oppose, oppose, oppose. do not congratulate. this is not business as usual.

We are learning that “working class” means “white” for way too many people.

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

Jack be nimble, jack be quick, hurry up and indict this prick.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

Be a wild strawberry.

Unbelievable. Via Michael Demmons, this Wikipedia entry on the bombings. Already it has a couple hundred links , a chronology, etc. Amazing.

I see a graphic has been added to the site questioning the neutrality of the info. I’m not seeing the bias, although I have not thoroughly read the entry.

There’s a big discussion of whether the label “terrorist” is a neutral point of view. A couple of the contributors think that the word should be left out because of it’s perjorative connotations. I’m consistently awestruck at the ability of some people to perform such mental contortions at a time like this.
