Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

This country desperately needs a functioning fourth estate.

Republicans are the party of chaos and catastrophe.

Everybody saw this coming.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

We can show the world that autocracy can be defeated.

Hey Washington Post, “Democracy Dies in Darkness” was supposed to be a warning, not a mission statement.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

I’m starting to think Jesus may have made a mistake saving people with no questions asked.

Lick the third rail, it tastes like chocolate!

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

So very ready.

Shut up, hissy kitty!

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

“Perhaps I should have considered other options.” (head-desk)

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

Never give a known liar the benefit of the doubt.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

’Where will you hide, Roberts, the laws all being flat?’

Apparently the cute blonde is gone and Jason Alexander is in. We’ll have to see how that works out.

This is one of the few shows that me and the missus agree on and watch together. We’re looking forward to tonight.

Hey, John, I’ve interviewed Joss Whedon, and Bitty Schram (Sharona on
Monk back at the beginning) is a friend of a friend. What kind of cool points do those tidbits score me? Because in my circle of friends, they aren’t worth bupkis.

By the way, what do you rank as your favorite Monk episode? I found the one with Monk’s brother, Ambrose (portrayed absolutely brilliantly by John Turturro), to be rather touching in addition to the usual dose of entertainment.

Without question, from Season #2- Mr. Monk and the Paperboy.

    I love his neighbor:

    I have the eggplant…

The only episode I’ve seen is the one where a teacher commits suicide. The goofball from Weekend at Bernie’s was in it. The scene where he makes sure the coffee level is even in the two pots is hilarious. Its on Universal HD everyday in reruns.

Monk is a pretty good show, but let’s not pretend it’s in the same universe as Buffy.

Thanks for the reminder, I set my DVR. Monk is a great show, and John Turturro was a fave. I do miss Sharona, though.
