I’d rejoice, except Firefox “prevented this site from installing software on myk computer.”
To protect my computer, or so the banner sez.
Huh?

I’ve had google toolbar for months now. It’s been available for quite some time from the “extensions” section at firefox.com, though in beta form.

You can also add Google search to Firefox’s existing toolbars without adding a whole new line to your browser.

The Google toolbar isn’t that useful for me. However, there’s now a Bugmenot plug-in available that rocks!
To get it to load you need to go into Tools and specify that site as allowable to install software.
