Bill at INDC Journal (who really is pissed at Kos- probably at the level I was when Kos made the ‘screw em’ remark), writes:
Sorry John, I don’t care if you used to play on Zuniga’s nerf football team at the ol’ 2001 blogosphere barbeques – his site, most of the diarists, his analysis and his judgment are terrible. And yes, I “question his patriotism.”
I’ll visit Yglesias and Marshall when I “want to know what the other side is thinking.”
While I appreciate the Nerf football comment for the snark value alone, Bill is just wrong, IMHO. While Yglesias and Drum and Marshall are must-reads for reasoned opinions (Marshall almost never fails to make me hopping mad, though), there is not better place than the diairies at Kos to watch talking points at their inception.
Surely Bill has heard of Bolton accuser Melody Townsel.
If you want to see what is coming down the pike, there is no better place than the diaries at Kos. You don’t have to like them, you don’t have to have played on the ‘nerf football’ team, but you probably ought to keep up with them.

KOS is my first read of the morning and the only other place outside my own little token site that I post articles (diaries)…I don’t think there is a better site out there for this kind of interconnectedness of thought. I used to post there, for several years, under another name until I started my own site. Watching the site grow through the years and also noting its influence has been really cool…agree or not as you say. Marcos can really instigate reactions.

I’m with Bill. There are other venues without the bile. Besides, I’ll get the talking points in the comments sections of other sites about a half hour after Kos spits them out, so no need wading through the abyss looking for them….his followers march to the beat & I can take the lag-time better than the nuisance of crap.

So can jumping up on the table at a dinner party and taking a dump in the salad bowl. “Oh no, did I offend you, Mr. and Mrs. Normal?”
Instigating reactions is not, in and of itself, any sort of achievement.
