Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

People are weird.

Red lights blinking on democracy’s dashboard

In my day, never was longer.

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

“I was told there would be no fact checking.”

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

Republicans are radicals, not conservatives.

It’s a good piece. click on over. but then come back!!

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

The revolution will be supervised.

Sometimes the world just tells you your cat is here.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

When we show up, we win.

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Proof that we need a blogger ethics panel.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

Conservatism: there are people the law protects but does not bind and others who the law binds but does not protect.

These days, even the boring Republicans are nuts.

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

Museums are not America’s attic for its racist shit.

Being a Geek Can Be Expensive

Someone bought Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber- for $200k:

The force is evidently still strong with this one: Luke Skywalker’s lightsabre from the original Star Wars Episode IV has sold for $200,600 (£113,000), three times its estimated price, at an auction of movie props and costumes in Beverly Hills.

Also snapped up at the Profiles in History auction was Darth Vader’s lightsabre from Episode V, which carried an estimate of $40,000-60,000 and went for $118,000 (£66,500).

I am overwhelmed with the possibilities and can’t come up with any nerd jokes.

Whoever it was that won that lightsaber could have put the 200 grand towards getting laid for the first time.

I find your lack of mockery for nerds disturbing.

I’m sure someone could point out that blowing $200k on a lightsaber might indicate you’re compensating for something. IN YOUR PANTS!

    :-p

“I am overwhelmed with the possibilities and can’t come up with any nerd jokes.”

Which would have been. So. Original.

I posted this some hours before your post.

You might be interested in this Whedon stuff, you nerd.

    An example of non-originality.

Possibly you might be amused by other stuff I’ve blogged in recent days, or maybe not.

No, actually, I’m quite sure I didn’t. Present or past tense.
