Interesting piece on Bill Richardson in Salon.
An Evan Bayh/Bill Richardson ticket in 2008 would be a tough ticket for the GOP to beat. Fortunately, Evan Bayh will never make it out of the primaries.

Bayh? Blah.

Not to mention that you will never get Richardson to line up with some of the accepted schools of thought of the modern left.

That’s a crock. Bayh has done nothing but good things for Indiana as a both a governor and a senator. And he’s a moderate. He’s one of the few people in the government that I think could actually help unite this country. Just because he’s a moderate doesn’t make him a republican. This country need moderates in charge. They don’t make everybody happy, but they certainly make more people happy than the extremists, or wannabe extremists.

Personally, I’m hoping for a Bayh/Obama ticket, but that’ll probably never happen. It would be far too logical.

Didn’t Richardson get caught doing something back in 2000? I thought that he was on Gore’s short list but then some scandal happened.
Maybe I’m more confused than usual.

All I remember is Los Alamos…

That and the fact, of Richardson, being a special envoy in
North Korea, Iraq, Sudan & Cuba, while he was a congressman;
and what deals did he make in that capacity

Bayh can have the nomination shortly after he stops acting like he’s embarrassed to be a Democrat, which is to say never.
