I’m delighted that Shatner won. A friend of mine is firmly convinced that he should be on every single show on TV.
I’m hard pressed to disagree…it would certainly add a refreshing twist to such shows as 60 Minutes, America’s Next Top Model, and Anderson Cooper 360. The mind boggles.

The three shows I watch religiously, Boston Legal, Monk, and Medium all won.
And i think James Spader and Shatner are awesome, although Bergen should have won, too…
Krista
Bergen’s a riot on that show. It’s great to see her again…her humour is too smart to not be available to the viewing public. Betty White is an absolute stitch as well…I’ve never seen such fluffy, sugar-coated venom as what she dishes out. And yeah, Spader’s great too…most unrepentant (but likeable) bastard since Ally McBeal’s Richard Fish (crap show, great character.)
I can’t watch Monk. I know it’s great, but my brother has OCD, and it’s frustrating enough to watch him, without having to watch an older version of him on TV. Haven’t gotten into Medium. Will have to check it out.
The only show that I make a real point of watching is Family Guy, but I do enjoy Lost when I’m able to catch it.

I actually had to watch the Emmy’s as penance from the fiance for spending most of the weekend watching Michigan State/Notre Dame, and UT/Florida, and then Eagles/49ers on Sunday.
That being said, while i think most of these awards shows are frauds, the Emmys are really a fraud. There is absolutley no way you can have Best Dramatic Series, and then Best Actor/Actress in a Drama, and best Supporting Actor/Actress in a drama, and not have ONE SINGLE FUCKING NOMINATION for “The Wire”.
Nikki
At this point, I could make a statement about racism, but it wouldn’t be true. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe there were any new episodes of “The Wire” produced this past season.

Season 3 went from September of 2004 to December of 2004. Would that have been this years Emmys or not (serious question, i have no idea what is considered a “season” on TV)?
