Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Fuck the extremist election deniers. What’s money for if not for keeping them out of office?

Nothing worth doing is easy.

I’d try pessimism, but it probably wouldn’t work.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

Going to be a big one today- the Steelers vs. the Patriots.

Go Steelers!

*** Update ***

Damnit to hell. It is a 4:15 game. That means my whole day is ruined, because I am not going to be able to think about anything else.

This may be the greatest opposition between us ever, John. And I’ve started plenty of comments off with words like, “That’s bullshit, John…”

I was a long-time Pats season-ticket holder (til I moved to Michigan). I was in Foxboro for the 28-3 drubbing in the 96-97 Playoffs. Greatest day as a sports fan EVER for me. It was the coming of age for my team that had sucked most of my life. Of course they went on to get stomped in the SuperBowl, but, what can ya do…

The “tuck” game against the Raiders was a better game, but the excitement of beating the Steelers that freezing-ass January day is the highlight of my sports fan existence. Ah, good times.

I’d like to say this was the Patriots of the last two years and we’re coming off a loss—you’re dead meat. But this is not the same team of nine months ago by any stretch. I have to be realistic. Today doesn’t look good, and I am bracing for a bit of a down year…

And who could have guessed that the Bengals/Steelers games might actually mean something this year? When was the last time that happened?

Sorry, my pro season has already been shot, as the Texans look like the worst team in the league. Go ‘Horns!

Yeah, Furious is right. Pats fans and Sox fans alike are seriously adjusting expectations this year. This is our hangover period. I’ll be amazed if the Steelers don’t roll.

But that’s OK. Seriously, I could use a break from all the tension and celebration for one year.

The bad news is I think the Pats are going to win, the good news is I am usually wrong. Let’s go Steelers!

These are two of the best teams in the NFL?

    PHI-OAK was a better game.

Jeez. Who would’ve guessed it was those crumbbums Rodney Harrison and Matt Light holding back the Pats all these years?

Once they got knocked out, it was all business….
