Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

’Where will you hide, Roberts, the laws all being flat?’

Let there be snark.

Fundamental belief of white supremacy: white people are presumed innocent, minorities are presumed guilty.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty. ~Thomas Jefferson

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

“A king is only a king if we bow down.” – Rev. William Barber

The words do not have to be perfect.

This isn’t Democrats spending madly. This is government catching up.

Radicalized white males who support Trump are pitching a tent in the abyss.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

If you are still in the gop, you are either an extremist yourself, or in bed with those who are.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

If you tweet it in all caps, that makes it true!

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

If a good thing happens for a bad reason, it’s still a good thing.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

New England had a bad game.
San Diego is good but they ain’t that good.
    Pitt will win.

Wow that was almost haiku-like. I should write for TMQ.

Only one team in the NFL has two opponents each weak: the opposing team AND the officiating crew. The Raiders are that team.

    Go Raiders!!

About the game tonight, I think the Steelers have basically two options. They can develop some running plays that reliably gain four to five yards, or they can lose.

It’s super to know that Roethlisberger plays well out of the pocket, since against a good team that’s where he spends practically all of his time. We have players like Ward and Randle El who can turn a twenty-yard pass into a one-play 80-yard scoring drive, which makes for exciting ball but it wears out the defense about as effectively as taking them to the opera.

IMO the Pats beat us because they spent the first half advancing five yards at a time, eighty yards down the field. If it wasn’t for some lucky turnovers they’d have led the game at halftime. When the fourth quarter came around the Steelers D could barely stay on its feet, at which point Tom Brady switched to a passing game and made the next few touchdowns look easy.

With Bettis you could count on him to punch a few yards through practically anything. With Parker, not so much. He can turn a decent hole into a major gain but he can’t seem to press more than a yard through determined opposition. I hope that Cowher has something new up his sleeve or IMO we’ll continue losing to the best teams.

    Just my peso-and-a-half.

Take the Chargers and give the points. Steelers will lose by at least 10.

Is the “cranky and irritable” related to that stomach problem? I tried switching to Prilosec from Nexium when the latter started being $75 a month, but it didn’t work, and I was mean, mean, mean. Finally had to get back on Nexium just to keep from being an s.o.b. to my family. Stomach trouble’s a bitch; good luck, sir.

    Anderson,

My GI problem is completely in remission at the moment, but when it was really bad I found yoga to be almost magically effective. It helps that I had a good teacher, and by good I mean a sadistic dance instructor with a thing for eastern relaxation techniques. I’ve tried touchy-feely new age types but they mostly left me with an urge to make them eat their stupid incense.

I don’t know if the Bolts will win by 10 or not… In fact, I’d be more willing to say it’ll be closer than the spread. San Diego’s got one of the best running backs the League has seen for about 10 years, strong weapons in the TE and WR slots, and a QB that can (on his good days) practically set up camp in the pocket. Yet their defense still hasn’t fully recovered from losing Seau to Miami, and their secondary is still only half-good.

    My prediction: Chargers by 3.

    Oh, and-

I’ve tried touchy-feely new age types but they mostly left me with an urge to make them eat their stupid incense.

Please don’t tell me you’ve met my ex-fiancee! Sounds remarkably like her. You know, one of the wierd ones that actually LIKE the smell of patchoulli.

I’ll agree with the oddsmakers and say Chargers by 3. The home field will make the difference- but it’s going to be very close. Much will ride on how healthy Ward is. Steelers had better be ready for a large dose of Tomlinson.

Ha! I love TMQ and look forward to it every week. Even weeks when the Steelers lose and/or I know they will show up in Sour Plays if the Week (or possibly as victims of Sweet Plays of the Week).

I’m, uh, charged up for the game tonight. Should be a good one, and things like home field and how unbelievably good LT is could tilt the odds SD’s way, so I gotta wave the Terrible Towel extra hard.

Like I said, take the Steelers and the points. lol

Real impressed with the Steelers last night. To go cross country and beat the Chargers was a great win. Especially after the Chargers were coming off two straight good games.

Losing Rothelsiohishigsgburger will hurt. That looked like a nasty hit to his knee but here’s hoping it looked worse than it is.
