This was the sort of game that I describe as a race to see who loses first. The Steelers put in a valiant effort, converting 0 out of 8 third downs and racking up an embarrassing time-of-possession deficit, but Charlie Batch couldn’t compete with Green Bay’s inability to keep hold of the ball or avoid clutch penalties. Regarding defense, Green Bay doesn’t have Troy Polamalu and they can’t borrow him.
Inside sources tell me that Ben Roethlisberger has made impressive gains on his SOCOM3 high score. On the upside, odds are fairly good that Batch, Randle El or a trained penguin can beat the New Brownies next week.

I am deeply offended by that penguins remark, we could at least take trained dolphins. I hope Ben plays so we can take his ass out again, but I would never root for someone to get injured.
Anyway, our offense might stink but our defense is pretty good, I promise you that we’ll make a game out of it.

as a matter of civic pride for my hometown, i should box your ears about the dig on the new brownies
as a football fan, i just want to say they are an embarrassment to otto, lou and jim
Jim
Is that the problem with the Penguins? Have they been training to be the third string quarterback since Maddox had his meltdown?
Or are you just trying to earn your conservatve bona fides by referring to that penguin movie.

So, does anyone think that the Colts are going to win tonight?
jg
No. But then I’m biased.

Not so fast on the Brownies. The mighty Stillers have managed to play down to the lowest levels of the league the past 2 weeks…. The hard-cores don’t think anyone on the team should wear the colors (maybe Troy). http://www.stillers.com/articles/1547.aspx
For myself, I think not traveling or playing off a short week is the key, and getting that new quarterback back in the game. Give the points, whatever they may be.

Yes, the Colts will win tonight.

I get the impression that Big Ben will be working on his mad PS2 skillz until the Stillers lose another game; then they’ll need him. Otherwise, just rest big fella.

Big Ben will probably heal and rest until it becomes clear that the Steelers have a must-win game.
They can probably coast the rest of the year and get a first-round bye. Home field is probably out with Indianapolis going so well–even after they lose to N.E. tonight.
Steeler Sean
Heck. We play so well on the road, who the heck wants home field advantage?
