The Steelers got hammered, which was depressing. At any rate, I am sorta swamped and will not be able to post until later. Consider this an open thread.

Sorry about the Steelers.
Oh yeah.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Hahahahaha ….
Seriously, though, the Colts are going to be unstoppable this year. The only thing that might make them lose is if they decide not to play top players after they’ve sewn up home-field advantage.

There is a remarkable article in the latest issue of the american Jewish weekly, Forward. It calls for President Bush to be impeached and put on trial “for misleading the American people, and launching the most foolish war since Emperor Augustus in 9 BC sent his legions into Germany and lost them.”
To describe Iraq as the most foolish war of the last 2,014 is a sweeping statement, but the writer is well qualified to know.
He is Martin van Crevald, a professor at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and one of the world’s foremost military historians. Several of his books have influenced modern military theory and he is the only non-American author on the US Army’s list of required reading for officers.

Paddy O’Shea: What did Martin van Crevald say about Bill Cowher trying an onside kick opening the second half? Maybe this van Crevald guy wasn’t such a fucking genius after all.
Paddy O'Shea
He is quoted as saying Coach Cowher was hammered.

Steelers got beat, ok. But what is with that pansy-assed call for tackling the guy. They ought to put skirts on those guys.

While I comisserate with your loss against the colts, I think think the colts are pretty unstoppable this season. My beloved chargers will have to deal with them soon enough.
Paddy… Would you recommend a book of his or are they all exceptional?
Paddy O'Shea
Luke: I have no idea. I just picked the article off of Google this morning. Not much of a reaction here, but I saw serious action on some of the other sites I posted it.
I ordered “The Transforamtion Of War” from Amazon today. While it originally came out in 1991, it seems pretty relevant to what we’re seeing in Iraq. At least according to the reviews.
