Currently on Episode #17 (Sun’s Husband is the centerpiece- burnt raft, etc.).
It seemed like some of the past episodes slowed down a little, and I do not like what happened with Ethan. They left too many possibilities unexplored. I do like how they manage to maintain several story lines and weave them in and out (Sawyer meeting Jack’s father, etc.).

Ha! Get used to it…one of the great joys of the series is the way they pile up the mysteries and always seem to bring you tantalizingly close to answers and then…wham – another mystery and more clues. Its addictive (in that strangely enjoyable yet frustrating way, sorta like good sex). I’m just worried that its going to turn into a “Twin Peaks” thing where the writers bail on everything once they’ve painted themselves into a corner.
On the other hand they seem to have a pretty good handle on things – check out the extras after you watch the finale. They seem pretty bright, excited and claim to have a real answer for everything (although it might be 4 or 5 seasons down the road).

I don’t know how you have sex, but at some point there has got to be a ‘release’ of sorts.

Aaahhhh…but just think – after 4 or 5 years you’re just going to explode with the pent up frustration and excitement! Nothing will ever make life worth living again.
Otto Man
I think they’re going with the eight-hour tantric approach used by Sting. Locke would want it that way.

I believe Jin’s episode is the one where you see Hurley on Jin’s TV (watch carefully or you’ll miss it). That freaked me out when I saw it.

Get used to being frustrated. At some point you will question whether or not the writers have any idea what they’re doing. I’ve long given up hope that they have not painted themselves into a corner.
And yet I still watch.
MrSnrub
From what I’ve read, the writers do have a plan for the show and where they plan on going.
We’ll just have to wait and see if it holds up.

Well, they better get crackin’.

I just really, really hope that it doesn’t turn to utter shite in the third season, like Alias and Felicity did. I’m very concerned that J.J. Abrams suffers from David E. Kelley syndrome.
HH
This season JJ is too busy on MI3 to do too much work on the show… it’s mostly Lindelof’s show.
After going to a Javier Grillo-Marxuach speaking engagement, I believe the writers definitely know what they’re doing and where it’s headed, at least as far as the big picture.
Matt
My understanding is that, plot-wise, it’s always been mostly Lindelof’s show.

i just loves me some korean mafia drama.
also, the creators have this sadistic thing where they’ve set up some websites with creepy easter eggs and clues towards what’s going on in the plot. but if you’re only on season one then 3/4 of it wouldn’t mean anything to you anyway.

i take it that stormy, john and plenty of other viewers who are getting impatient with ‘LOST’ never watched (or enjoyed) the classic 60’s show ‘The Prisoner’.
just goes to show you what’s become of the attention span of the average american viewer of entertainment.
i say slow down and enjoy it. if it takes 5 years or if we never find out what the hell is actually going on, this is still one of the best written, most intriguing shows to come down the pipe in a long time.

dagon – oh, I’m patient and will not stop watching, but come on. Tie up just one loose end from the first season, please.
(I can’t really say too much here until the rest of the crowd has caught up, since I’m no spoiler.)
Sayid never gets old, nor Sawyer.

i hear ya stormy **NO SPOILERS AHEAD** but i think in a way they have tied up quite a few of the mysteries of the first season. sure, they’ve opened up possibly even a MORE confusing can of worms but that’s why i think the show is so fun. personally, i’m one of the optimist who actually believes the writers when they say they know exactly where things are headed. after watching felicity and alias implode however, i can see why people are skeptical.

I do love this show, even though I get frustrated with the unanswered questions. But the characters are so well drawn. You might be interested in the astrological characterizations I did: http://astrodynamics.blogspot.com/2005/12/astrology-of-lost.html
