I’ve disagreed with you but never before have I doubted your sanity—Jib Jab is the worst. This one was no better than any of the others…. wait, was that what you meant? Feh.
Can’t view QT at work, so I guess the X-Men 3 trailer will have to wait. Grr.

So the trailer is QT, but I need Flash 8… Must. Wrap. Head. In. Monkey. Wrench. And. Twist…

I think Jack Black would have made a much better Beast than Kelsey Grammar.

I’m mostly with Jack Roy. Jib Jab should have stopped with their first movie. They’ve all been crap since, and this was no exception — I didn’t even bother to finish it.

Rumor has it the 3rd Xmen will be the worst of the bunch. An allegedly Bad script, with an again alleged rehash of the plot of the second movie, with the fact that this movie has gone through 3 directors. I can’t go into what might make it bad as it would be spoilers. I hope these rumors are not true and that the movie f-ing Roxxorz for the whole two hours. Well, however bad it was, it can’t be as bad as Fantastic Four, or The Hulk, or Daredevil, or Elektra.
I think that Kelsey Grammer was a great choice for Beast and that it might help break his fraiser typecast.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed with this Jib-Jab.

Lessee, the screenwriters collectively have written Elektra, Last Action Hero, Inspector Gadget, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and XXX: State of the Union. That about tells you want you need to know.

It sure looks cool, but it looks like way too many story arcs thrown in there for any of them to be good.
I didn’t mind the Grammar casting, but now that Jon H mentions it, Jack Black might have been good.

Follow up:
I am working on a magazine cover of Grammar as Hank/The Beast, and he looks fucking good. Really good.
My initial reaction to this was akin to Michael Keaton being cast as Batman. Hard to picture a comedian as a brawny superhero. Certainly SFX and makeup can take care of the stature issues, Grammers face looks fantastic, and thinking about the voice, personality and intelligence that are actually the hallmarks of The Beast over any “powers” and I am starting to think this is perfect casting.
Don’t think anyone will read this old thread, but I thought I’d throw my two cents up now that I am staring at a blue Kelsey Grammar all day.
