Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Hi god, it’s us. Thanks a heap, you’re having a great week and it’s only Thursday!

I might just take the rest of the day off and do even more nothing than usual.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

It is not hopeless, and we are not helpless.

Dumb motherfuckers cannot understand a consequence that most 4 year olds have fully sorted out.

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Radicalized white males who support Trump are pitching a tent in the abyss.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

Accountability, motherfuckers.

With all due respect and assumptions of good faith, please fuck off into the sun.

When we show up, we win.

We’ve had enough carrots to last a lifetime. break out the sticks.

Speaker Mike Johnson is a vile traitor to the House and the Constitution.

Let there be snark.

Shut up, hissy kitty!

This has so much WTF written all over it that it is hard to comprehend.

Our messy unity will be our strength.

Steelers Win

The Steelers win 18-3, thoroughly dominating the hapless Vikings. Despite the interminable idiocy of Randy Cross, who may be the dumbest person this side of Jerry Glanville to step into a booth, it was nice to see a dominating defensive performance from the Stillers.

Oh, and rumor has it that Tim F. has returned from his trip and will be posting again shortly.

The Steelers dominated exactly NOTHING. The Vikings beat the living hell out of themselves with all of those bonehead mistakes.

I concur totally on the Randy 49er judgement though.

95% of all sports TV commentators are morons. Why do you think Dennis Miller only lasted two seasons on MNF? He was too smart for the average viewer. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m not busting on football fans. Miller is too smart for the average person in general, but the bar is a little lower for sports fans.) My roommate thinks you should get a quarter from the network, to be taken out of the commentators’ paychecks, every time they say something about a play that you already said. That happens all the time when I watch football on TV; either I or someone else watching it will say something and then a commentator will say it. Personally, I’d make about forty or fifty bucks a season under this plan.

And fuck the Colts. As I was posting in the other thread, I thought to myself, “I shouldn’t be posting this.” I’m gonna jinx something. And then San Diego goes and blows the Colts’ perfect season, staying a game ahead of Pittsburgh in the Wild Card race. Not only that, but I was hoping Indy would finish the regular season undefeated, so Manning choking in the post season (probably on Tom Brady) would be even sweeter.

Actually, they’re tied and Pittsburgh has the head-to-head tiebreaker, but I don’t know why I thought San Diego was up on them.

…it was nice to see a dominating defensive performance from the Stillers.

I would have thought the Stillers would be more passive-aggressive than defensive.

Yep, it was a bad game for my Vikings.

We need to get rid of our coach. Nice guy but he does not know how to lead a team.

It just makes me so happy that when the Stillers lost to the Bunguls, yeah I will always call them that, everybody was saying oh there done for the season. There goes the playoffs. To everybody who said that, especially the Steelers fans, may you all be forced to be a Cleveland Browns fan. That is my idea of hell.
