Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

You can’t love your country only when you win.

Let’s not be the monsters we hate.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires republicans to act in good faith.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

Republicans in disarray!

A Moment Of Zen

Winter means no more sitting in the windows all day because it is too cold. Nowadays, afternoons are spent curled up in a ball hibernating on a couch in the home office. When I took this picture, he was so asleep I thought he was dead.

Your heading reminds me of a book titled Zen for Cats. For the most part, it was horribly serious, but on the back, there was a blurb from PJ O’Rourke:

“Zen for cats? How much more empty can their little heads get?”

My kittens like to burrow their way under 2 layers of comforters when they’re cold.

Otherwise, they sleep on top of each other in the sink, where we leave towels for them to lie on. It makes an unbearably cute little pile of kittens.

There is a weblog called Cats in the Sink, for the addicts of cute.

My old pug dog was the world champion of sleep. I never thought he was dead since his snores could be heard in the next county but there were times when I believed that nothing, nothing could wake him. Every morning I would pick him up. (curled up, snoozing mightily), carry him out the back door and down the steps to the grass to pee..and set him down on the ground where he would fall in a heep and continue to snore. Poor old Charlie loved to sleep.

Ekim- I don’t know what it is, but I am making mistakes like that a great deal, lately. their/their, two/too, bare/bear, etc.

It was never a problem until recently.

Tunch needs some skritching post haste! My kitten should have been named briquette, since he emits more heat than any cat I’ve ever owned. My 12 yr old cat considers him her personal space heater and will just sprawl all over him. I am surprised she hasn’t suffocated him, yet.

A good fifth of scotch will cure you of all spelling problems, or at least make it so you don’t care.

John, you should let us each email you a picture of our own pets, and you can post them, so that we can all admire each others’ furry friends.

As it got colder this month, my first cat Tehya has developed a habit of jumping onto the bed after I pull up all the blankets, push aside my left arm, curl up in the space she makes between my arm and chest, shifts about to get comfortable, and then starts purring away. My second cat Page just heads underneath the bed for warmth. ;)
